You want to learn to teach yoga.

You listen to your teachers and they are so passionate! They look so happy and fulfilled. You find yourself in the middle of class thinking of all the ways you could teach the pose you are in, and you get inspired.

Two seconds later, though, you're second guessing and doubting yourself.

What if you get tongue tied and mess up? What if you start training and realize you suck at it? What if you spend all that money and time and it's not worth it? You shove the idea of training aside. Maybe you'll do it later... or when you retire!

But then, you find yourself once again:
-
Dreaming of what it would be like to stand in front of people and inspire them
-
Wondering what it would be like to have the life your yoga teacher has
-
Craving that feeling of being passionate and excited about something in your life.

And you think maybe, just maybe, it could be possible.

The only person who can decide is you.

Really wanting something can feel terrifying.
What if you spend all this time and money and it doesn't turn out the way you expect it to? You want something.. but there's a lot at stake and a lot to lose.

Life never turns out the way we expect it to, and there will always be something to lose.

You can wait because you're not sure it'll be exactly what you want, or you can take the risk, sign up anyway, and see what happens. The truth is, you won't know until you make the decision.
You’re right!

I knew pretty early on I wanted to be a yoga teacher. I would go to a class, listen to the teacher, and think about all the things I could say or would say to inspire people. I’d run class ideas through my head. But I kept putting it off. I keep saying it wasn’t the right time. Underneath all of that, I was so afraid. I didn’t think I had anything to say that really mattered, or that anyone would really hear me.
It wasn’t until we moved to another city that I was forced to look at what I wanted to do that I remembered my dream of being a yoga teacher and finally signed up for teacher training.
Here's the kicker... I built my confidence up, but when I finished training, I left unprepared to actually teach a yoga class. My first time teaching was at an audition for a studio. Why do I tell you this? Because my story is not unique. I've seen too many yoga teachers come out of training not prepared to teach yoga, many like me, having never taught a class. That's why I created this training, because I know it's a risk to do something like this, and I believe you can have BOTH!

This training is designed to give you the confidence AND ALSO the skills to teach a bad ass yoga class from the moment you graduate! I've spent the last 10 years honing my skills as a teacher, learning what works and doesn't and want to share it all with you.
HAVE THE TEACHER TRAINING EXPERIENCE THAT MANY NEVER GET

“Amy’s course came at a perfect time in my life. Taking YTT was a big leap of faith. It was scary and exhilarating, both during training and coming out of it, but I’m so happy I did it. Her course set the foundation that allowed me to hit the ground running in my pursuit of my yoga business. I gained life long friends, I finally feel well rounded in my health, and I have a new level of happiness and peace.”

Introducing
Trust Yourself
A Yoga Teacher Training that will give you the framework to speak and teach in a way that resonates with others and makes you feel good.
What You'll Get:
Module 1: Back to the Basics:
To teach anything, we must start with the basics! Learn everything from Dhristi and focus to the history of yoga and how breathe. Know the basics of the yoga practice so you can teach it to others.

Module 2: Anatomy:
Yoga is about the body, so you’ve got to know what to do with it! You’ll get an understanding of muscles and bones, body shapes and sizes, and how to work with them all. You’ll learn why some things work for some people and not others, and how to give people options in a class so they can feel their best.

Module 3: Yin Yoga:
You can’t just speed things up in yoga, it’s important to slow things down, too. If you want to help others get to know themselves, you’ve got to know yourself too, and that happens in stillness and silence. Get deep into your nervous system and learn how to be confident with a lot of silence in a class!

Module 4: Get Creative and Play!
The fun stuff! Learn how to theme a class, how to build playlists, how to sequence, and all the ways to use outside elements to make sure students aren’t just learning, but they’re enjoying it. You will, too!

Module 5: Honor Yourself and Traditions:
History matters, especially in yoga, and you’ll learn how to communicate it in class in a way that makes sense for people.

I know what it is like to doubt yourself and that you have what it takes. I also know what it’s like to take the leap, and how scary that can feel at first. I’m here to tell you though, it’s worth it! Every leap I took led me somewhere I never expected… but better. I believe that life really isn’t that complicated, we just tend to make it so. When we slow down, we are able to see our lives from a different perspective, get rid of the clutter, and keep things simple. When we keep things simple, we can free ourselves up for our creativity, rather than getting stuck in doubt or fear.
And tapping into your own intuitive creativity is the key to feeling confident in what you are sharing and saying.

Beyond leading yoga teacher trainings, I am a coach and mentor who is driven by curiosity and purpose. I spend my weekends surfing, making tons of salsa and mixing yoga and wine in my second business.
And I love having FUN! I believe making time for fun and play are essential to teaching in an effective and powerful way. It is important to keep things light. It’s too easy to get caught up in all the responsibility and “shoulds” all of the time, which doesn’t actually help us get the practice we want or give that to others.

I am committed to helping you move out of this space and into confidence, authenticity and joy!

Tools and ways to make yoga teaching work for your life!
You will get everything you need to teach well, feel good, and know you are making a difference.

You might be thinking…
“I don’t have time for this.”
If you want to claim your time and get intentional around how you spend your time, then you will make time for this. At end of the day, the truth is we are all running out of time, every single day, so what will you do with the time you have left?

“Now isn’t the right time.”
Truth…..it never will be! There is not a moment in our lives ever where all the stars align and everything falls into place. You have to decide that now is the time, even with everything else that is going on, because there will always be other things going on.

“My life is too complicated, I have too many responsibilities.”
Yes you do, as does everyone. The question is, are you putting yourself at the top of that responsibility list? If you do not take care of yourself, you cannot really take care of anyone else. Yoga Teacher Training will not only help you prioritize your health and your happiness, but it will help you be a better teacher because you’ve put you first.

“I don’t have the money.”
The things you love cost money. The things you invest in cost money. You spend money every day. It’s just a part of life. When you really want anything else, do you tell yourself the same thing? When you buy a car, you don’t think, “I don’t have the money,” you take out a loan with the bank and pay it back over time. Same with a house. Teacher training has payment plans similar to a car loan. Any bigger purchase you want to make is going to take you making a plan and making it a priority. Treat teacher training like any other big purchase in your life. If you really want it, you’ll figure out how to make it happen.
